E-commerce in Pakistan

Majority of the physical activities have stepped into the online world. The exact same is true regarding several enterprises in Pakistan. Clients usually generate the first impact of businesses by visiting the web portal associated with that enterprise. It is therefore, very important to have an appropriate digital presence and in preference, a service to manage the buyer online, that is termed as e-commerce.

Clearly there was a time while businesses relied on the physical existence to captivate clients and for daily efficiency. Currently it’s the age of digital advertising, online marketing, selling, and procurement

In Pakistan e-commerce is a developing concept. In Pakistan we are sticking to the old way of shopping go to marketplaces, visit different shops, bargaining for good deals and finally return home with product of our choice. Now this trend is changing rapidly in Pakistan; Business and potential customers are now switching to e-commerce, which provides a new exciting experience of selling and buying.

Serious evolution has been made by online transactions in past years, It convinces more clients digitize their experience of shopping. We are not in a country where clients order very small things like food items and grocery. People buy things online from retailers due to their convenience.

Online shopping even deliver mobile set on his doorstep without any cost. The person got his mobile without any difficulty of wandering from one shop to another. This is a great benefit of e-commerce it didn’t waste time and anyone can make transaction from home for more comfort.

This is to reveal that now businesses in Pakistan are coming toward e-commerce side and physical business is far away from it. While some organizations carry both types of activities at the same time. Business in Pakistan has not totally switched to the e-commerce because of some hurdles.

Firstly, lack of awareness among people regarding this e-commerce. Some people think that it is necessary to see a thing before buying for complete satisfaction. Many people think web transaction as a risk factor.

We don’t welcome new strategies and always hesitate in experiencing something new. E-commerce is very convenient. Because we have not tried it yet, we hesitate in adapting it. This is mainly fear of getting scammed during online purchase.

Some people also think if they will restrict their business only to e-commerce, Only a small group of people will be their target who were aware of online selling and buying phenomenon. That’s the main reason why the transition to e-commerce is a very slow process.

To raise the scope of e-commerce business in Pakistan should take some initiatives, customers will understand it and attracted towards it. This process will raise the scope of e-commerce in Pakistan

Nice info provided. Online Shopping trends are increasing all over world and Pakistan cannot avoid itself from this growing trend. E-commerce industry is growing in Pakistan and I have recently seen sites like daraz, Azmalo.pk and symbios are performing really well in this niche.

I agree with the write, while ecommerce has rocketed in the past decade across the globe, in Pakistan it is still a somewhat new and not yet fully adopted practice. Some websites have taken the initiative and have done quite a good job at it- for. e.g Azmalo.pk- the website and service is great, delivery fast and payment methods convenient. I hope more Pakistanis start adopting this culture!
